Important notice
Read this document in full before accepting it. The points below concern important rights, data, risks or responsibilities.
- This Authorisation uses only the Flex Token and Query ID you provide to read configured reports. It does not collect your IBKR username or password.
- The Platform cannot place, amend or cancel orders, transfer funds or change account settings through this connection. You retain independent account and trading control.
- You may revoke or replace the Token in IBKR. Doing so may prevent continued validation, scoring or participation.
2. Data actually read and generated
The Platform processes the Token, Query ID, IBKR account identifier, report start and end dates, daily equity summaries, cash transactions and trades. From this data, it generates or updates cumulative return, annualised return, maximum drawdown, Sharpe ratio, initial and current equity, valid-data-point count, composite score and ranking.
The Platform does not collect your IBKR username or login password through this process. IBKR’s official documentation explains that the Flex Web Service uses a Token and Query ID to retrieve pre-configured reports and does not use IBKR login credentials in subsequent requests.
3. Read-only boundary
The Flex Web Service is a reporting service. This Authorisation does not permit the Platform to submit, amend or cancel orders, transfer funds, change account settings or make investment decisions for you through this connection. You retain independent control of the account and trading.
Reports are not a real-time trading feed. IBKR states that activity reports are generally updated after the daily close and trade confirmations may also be delayed. The Platform validates and collects reports intermittently as needed for the competition and does not represent the reports as real-time data through high-frequency polling.
4. Purposes and public scope
Data is used only to validate the account and reports, confirm the strategy data source, collect competition data, calculate metrics and rankings, detect anomalies, administer the competition, handle complaints and disputes, protect system security and meet applicable legal requirements.
The public leaderboard may display calculated competition metrics, scores and rankings, but not the Flex Token, Query ID or full account identifier. Raw trades and cash transactions are not made public merely because you accept this Authorisation.
5. Credential protection and retention
The Platform stores the Token, Query ID and full account identifier in encrypted form and uses masked values or one-way hashes for identification and duplicate checks. Access is limited to authorised personnel or services providing data validation, collection, security and necessary operations.
Credentials and reports are retained only as needed for competition, audit, security, complaint, dispute and legal purposes. After the Authorisation ends, the Platform will delete, anonymise or restrict their use under applicable retention rules, while records required by law or an existing dispute may be retained.
6. Your controls and responsibilities
You should create a least-privilege Flex Query in IBKR for the competition, selecting only the accounts, dates and fields required for scoring, and use an appropriate Token lifetime and available IP restriction. Do not submit another person’s unauthorised Token or a query containing unrelated accounts.
You are responsible for keeping credentials valid and report configuration available and for promptly addressing Token expiry, revocation, IP restrictions or Query changes. If valid data does not meet the locked minimum data-point requirement, the entry may be ineligible for scoring.
7. Withdrawal and termination
You may revoke or replace the Token in IBKR and notify the Platform at cs@fundconnecthk.com to stop future access. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully completed before withdrawal, but may prevent continued validation, scoring or participation.
If the Platform detects credential exposure, unauthorised access, report anomalies, inconsistency with the registered account or another security risk, it may immediately stop access, isolate the credential and require re-connection.
8. IBKR independence, law and contact
IBKR independently provides the Flex Web Service and does not become a competition organiser or assume responsibility for Platform scoring, ranking or awards by reason of this Authorisation. IBKR service functions, limits and availability are governed by its own terms and official documentation.
This Authorisation is governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and should be read with the Competition Personal Information Collection Statement and Competition Rules. Contact cs@fundconnecthk.com for data requests, withdrawal or security concerns.
