Competition Personal Information Collection Statement

The data user under this Statement is Fund Connect HK Limited (Company No. 3066551). It applies to quick and full registration, eligibility review, competition data collection, ranking, communications and dispute handling for FundConnectHK quantitative trading competitions.

The Platform may collect team name, region, size, participant type and licensing status; captain and contact names, phone numbers, email addresses, contact accounts, biographies, CVs or profile links; account verification and sign-in records; team logos, strategy names, descriptions and supporting files.

If IBKR data access is used, the Platform processes the Flex Token, Query ID, account identifier, report date range, daily equity, cash transactions and trades, and the cumulative return, annualised return, maximum drawdown, Sharpe ratio, score and ranking calculated from that data. Tokens, Query IDs and full account identifiers are non-public credentials or identifiers.

The Platform may also collect IP address, browser and device information, access time, page interactions, registration session identifiers, error and security logs, and communications with the Organiser.

Information marked as required or used for account verification, eligibility, IBKR data validation or scoring is mandatory. Failure to provide it may prevent account creation, registration, strategy validation, data collection, leaderboard entry or receipt of essential competition notices. Optional profiles, supporting materials or contact preferences may be provided at your choice.

Data is used to create and secure accounts, verify contact details and authority, process registration and review, administer eligibility, validate IBKR reports, calculate metrics and rankings, display approved public team and strategy information, send essential competition notices, provide support, investigate anomalies or misconduct, protect system security and meet legal or dispute-handling needs.

Acceptance of this Statement is not consent to direct marketing. If the Platform intends to use personal data for promotions unrelated to the competition service, it will provide separate notice and obtain any consent required by the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. You may require such use to stop at any time without charge.

For the purposes above, data may be provided as necessary to service providers handling cloud hosting, object storage, communications, identity or security verification, legal, audit and technical support for the Platform. It may also be disclosed to competent authorities where required by law, court order, regulation or enforcement process. Recipients may process data only for the agreed purpose and subject to confidentiality and security requirements.

Public leaderboards may display team name, strategy name, strategy mode, competition metrics, score and rank. Private contact details, CVs, Flex Tokens, Query IDs and full IBKR account identifiers are not public leaderboard fields. Publication beyond this scope requires another appropriate basis or consent.

The Platform retains data only for as long as necessary for registration, competition, audit, security, complaint, dispute or legal purposes. When those purposes are complete and retention is no longer required, data will be deleted, anonymised or isolated. Necessary records may be kept longer for legal, dispute or fraud-prevention reasons.

The Platform uses reasonable measures including access controls, transport protection, credential encryption, one-way hashes, logging and least privilege. No internet system is absolutely secure. If an incident may materially affect individuals, the Platform will investigate, remediate and notify as required by applicable law and risk.

You may request access to and correction of personal data held by the Platform under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Send your name, account or registration ID, the request and reasonable identity-verification information to cs@fundconnecthk.com, or by post to Units B, C&D, 19/F, Neich Tower, 128 Gloucester Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong, marked “Personal Data Request”.

You may withdraw consent for non-essential processing. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing or require deletion of data still needed for legal, audit, security or existing-dispute purposes. Withdrawing data authorisation required for the competition may prevent continued scoring or participation.

Before submitting another team member’s or person’s data, you confirm that you have explained this Statement and obtained the authority required for submission and processing. Service providers may process data outside Hong Kong, and the Platform will apply contractual, access-control and other reasonable safeguards appropriate to the processing risk.

This Statement may be updated for service or legal changes. Material changes will be notified on the collection page, competition page or through a reasonable contact channel. Consent will be obtained separately for a new incompatible purpose where required by applicable law.
